IBA Dosimetry and Mobius sign Collaboration Agreement

IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A.), the global high-tech leader in the next generation of proton therapy solutions and radiation therapy dosimetry for the treatment of cancer, and Mobius Medical Systems, the developer of innovative software for quality assurance in radiation oncology, are pleased to announce a collaboration agreement at the annual AAPM meeting. The aim of the agreement is to jointly develop software components designed to improve efficiency in machine quality assurance (QA) for Radiation Therapy and Diagnostics.

“Rapidly evolving technology in Radiation Oncology and Diagnostics requires efficient, integrated and safe tools to verify treatment devices and to report in accordance with international protocols and recommendations,” said Rob Plompen, President of IBA Dosimetry. “The collaboration with Mobius Medical Systems will enlarge the QA functionalities and the overall efficiency of our solutions. We are impressed by Mobius’ software competence and customer oriented solutions and we feel proud to collaborate with them to the benefit of our customers.”

Under this agreement IBA will integrate components and functionalities provided by Mobius Medical Systems directly into the IBA’s brand new Dosimetry Software platform called “myQA”. This will allow IBA to provide customers with a truly comprehensive QA solution with the best available software modules.
