HOW IT WORKS
SINGLE IMAGE ANALYSIS
All analyses in this module use a single image for producing quantitative results to verify numerous machine QA parameters, including the MLC strip test, MV/kV imaging, depth dose, single image Winston-Lutz, starshot, and flatness/symmetry. This module also features a full complement of image manipulation tools—simple rotation, flipping/cropping, and filtering/smoothing operations.
Whether for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) or IGRT positioning/re-positioning QA, DoseLab simplifies your Winston-Lutz test, automatically performing both 2D and 3D analysis. With as few as two or as many as 180 images, DoseLab will quickly determine the center of each field and target marker. It then reports in-plane and cross-plane offsets for each image, vector delta between the two centers and cumulative 3D target position, including effects of gantry and couch positions.
VMAT/DYNAMIC MLC TESTING
As proposed by Ling et al, this module provides a fast and easy analysis of tests described in the publication, “Commissioning and quality assurance of RapidArc radiotherapy delivery system.” These tests use different dose rates, gantry speeds and MLC leaf speeds to verify the accuracy of VMAT and dynamic MLC deliveries.
CONE BEAM CT/CT ANALYSIS
Providing a comprehensive analysis of your Cone-beam CT or CT simulator, DoseLab automatically finds the correct image slices for QA using CatPhan or other common CT phantom image sets.
MLC LOG FILE ANALYSIS
MLC performance is key to precise delivery of modulated treatments. Machine log files contain minutiae about each MLC leaf with up to 100 readings per second and spatial resolution as high as 0.01 mm. DoseLab analyzes this data to determine the mean and max RMS errors for each individual leaf as well as for leaf speeds. Only DoseLab can accomplish this for both Varian and Elekta linear accelerators.
DoseLab includes an AutoQA module that processes QA images automatically and saves the results to the DoseLab database. AutoQA receives the images, selects the corresponding DoseLab module, sets parameters for analysis and computes the results- zero clicks required.
MACHINE QA Phantoms (TG-142)
The MC2 Phantom
The MC2 Phantom is the first phantom that can be used for both MV and kV planar imaging tests. The phantom requires only one setup to test both imagers, which means fewer trips into the vault, resulting in faster, easier QA.
The RLf Phantom
The RLf Phantom features field size markers for both 10 x 10 and 15 x 15 fields and is ideally suited for DoseLab’s analysis routines for flatness & symmetry and radiation field/light field coincidence.
The WL3 Phantom
The WL3 Phantom is made from Plastic Water® and easy to align. Designed for DoseLab’s Winston-Lutz analysis, the WL3 phantom contains a hidden 5mm tungsten sphere at the center, which is easily revealed during MV and kV imaging. Off-set alignment markers are also incorporated, making the WL3 phantom ideal for checking IGRT coincidence accuracy.
