A COMPLETE MACHINE QA SOLUTION
DoseLab was developed by a clinical medical physicist to be the single tool to perform the necessary machine QA that is critical to safe and accurate treatment. Data for every test you need to comply with state law or accreditation standards can be captured, saved, trended and recalled in perpetuity with DoseLab.

EFFICIENCY THROUGH AUTOMATION
With DoseLab’s AutoQA functionality, zero-click analysis can be achieved for all your routine machine QA. With its built-in DICOM receiver, DoseLab continuously listens for QA images, automatically generates new results in real-time, and saves results to the DoseLab database for web-based trend analysis.

GO ‘PRO’ FOR FILM ANALYSIS AND DOSE COMPARISONS
The DoseLab Pro upgrade provides the most efficient software available to convert film into quantitative images of absolute dose. It also includes a comprehensive dose comparison module for analyzing measurements from film and most diode/ion chamber arrays.

FEATURES

TG-142 ACHIEVED: COMPLETE EVERY TEST TG-142 is the most commonly utilized machine QA benchmark by accrediting bodies and state licensing agencies. DoseLab’s pre-loaded routines complete every test in the TG-142 report that can be accomplished through image or log file analysis—giving you confidence of achieving the qualification requirements.

CONFIGURABLE DATABASE: KEEP ALL YOUR QA DATA IN A SINGLE PLACE DoseLab allows you to configure the database to collect data from any type of test and even create groups (ex. capture morning machine warm-up stats or TG-51 calibration data). Tests can be based on a numerical entry, a text entry, a Boolean choice, or even a formula that automatically calculates results based on multiple inputs.

SCHEDULE TASKS: MAKE SURE QA GETS COMPLETED ON TIME DoseLab features a built-in scheduler to ensure important QA is completed as planned. You can assign QA tasks to specific users and set email reminders to be sent when tasks are not completed.

LOG FILE ANALYSIS: THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW FOR SURE YOUR MLCS ARE PERFORMING TO SPECS DoseLab is the only machine QA software available that accomplishes log file analysis of MLC performance for both Varian and Elekta machines. Log files are the easiest and most accurate way to determine leaf speed and maximum RMS values as recommended in TG-142.

AUTOQA: SET IT AND FORGET IT With its integrated DICOM listener, DoseLab’s AutoQA feature processes routine QA images and saves them to the machine QA database automatically- zero clicks required!

INTUITIVE DATABASE VIEWER: UNDERSTAND YOUR QA RESULTS AT A GLANCE DoseLab’s database viewer graphs your data as a function of time, allowing you to identify trends. Baseline and tolerance levels are plotted for quick visual verification of operating parameters. You can easily compare data by overlaying two or more machine’s data at the same time on a single graph.

CUSTOM TOLERANCE SETS: FULL FLEXIBILITY Customizable tolerance sets allow every DoseLab result to be reported as a pass, warn or fail. Unlimited sets can be defined for use with different machines, energies, etc., to give full flexibility for acceptance criteria.

SUB-PIXEL CALCULATIONS: IMPERATIVE FOR PRECISE TREATMENTS Every calculation routine in DoseLab employs advanced algorithms for sub-pixel calculations to provide the most accurate and objective results.

HOW IT WORKS

SINGLE IMAGE ANALYSIS

All analyses in this module use a single image for producing quantitative results to verify numerous machine QA parameters, including the MLC strip test, MV/kV imaging, depth dose, single image Winston-Lutz, starshot, and flatness/symmetry. This module also features a full complement of image manipulation tools—simple rotation, flipping/cropping, and filtering/smoothing operations.

WINSTON-LUTZ ANALYSIS

Whether for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) or IGRT positioning/re-positioning QA, DoseLab simplifies your Winston-Lutz test, automatically performing both 2D and 3D analysis. With as few as two or as many as 180 images, DoseLab will quickly determine the center of each field and target marker. It then reports in-plane and cross-plane offsets for each image, vector delta between the two centers and cumulative 3D target position, including effects of gantry and couch positions.

VMAT/DYNAMIC MLC TESTING

As proposed by Ling et al, this module provides a fast and easy analysis of tests described in the publication, “Commissioning and quality assurance of RapidArc radiotherapy delivery system.” These tests use different dose rates, gantry speeds and MLC leaf speeds to verify the accuracy of VMAT and dynamic MLC deliveries.

CONE BEAM CT/CT ANALYSIS

Providing a comprehensive analysis of your Cone-beam CT or CT simulator, DoseLab automatically finds the correct image slices for QA using CatPhan or other common CT phantom image sets.

MLC LOG FILE ANALYSIS

MLC performance is key to precise delivery of modulated treatments. Machine log files contain minutiae about each MLC leaf with up to 100 readings per second and spatial resolution as high as 0.01 mm. DoseLab analyzes this data to determine the mean and max RMS errors for each individual leaf as well as for leaf speeds. Only DoseLab can accomplish this for both Varian and Elekta linear accelerators.

AUTOQA

DoseLab includes an AutoQA module that processes QA images automatically and saves the results to the DoseLab database. AutoQA receives the images, selects the corresponding DoseLab module, sets parameters for analysis and computes the results- zero clicks required.

MACHINE QA Phantoms (TG-142)

The MC2 Phantom

The MC2 Phantom is the first phantom that can be used for both MV and kV planar imaging tests.  The phantom requires only one setup to test both imagers, which means fewer trips into the vault, resulting in faster, easier QA.

The RLf Phantom

The RLf Phantom features field size markers for both 10 x 10 and 15 x 15 fields and is ideally suited for DoseLab’s analysis routines for flatness & symmetry and radiation field/light field coincidence.

The WL3 Phantom

The WL3 Phantom is made from Plastic Water® and easy to align.  Designed for DoseLab’s Winston-Lutz analysis, the WL3 phantom contains a hidden 5mm tungsten sphere at the center, which is easily revealed during MV and kV imaging.  Off-set alignment markers are also incorporated, making the WL3 phantom ideal for checking IGRT coincidence accuracy.wl3
